How to Rotate Stock

Purchase fresh stock for your home. Determine where to store this stock.

Store perishable items such as milk, meat, cheese and frozen items in the refrigerator or freezer.

Open the refrigerator door. Remove the older product from the refrigerator temporarily and place it on the counter or table.

Place fresh milk, eggs, meat or other perishable foods in the back of the refrigerator. Now replace the foods you took out of the refrigerator in front of the older foods.

Look inside your freezer and rotate the stock by pulling out the old foods. Place the fresh foods on the bottom or in the back and replace the old foods on top or in front. Work quickly so the foods do not defrost.

Go to the pantry area. Take cereal, bread, flour, sugar and other food stock off the shelves and place them on the counter.

Rotate stock by putting the fresh foods in the pantry in the back and replace the older foods in front or on top of the older foods.
