What is a Lifeline medical alert?

Lifeline medical alerts are personal emergency response systems (PERS) for people and those who care about them. Medical alerts enable seniors as well as adults and younger adults who want and need an extra layer of independence, security, and peace of mind to live safely independently in their residences.

Personal emergency response systems may combine devices with features:

- One press buttons

- Pendants

- Wristband activators

- Built-in microphones so a trained operator who answers when the pendant button is pushed can talk with and listen to people in their homes to assist in assessing what’s going on in an emergency

- GPS

- Water-proof technology
