Human Pheromone Information

Pheromones are chemical substances produced by humans, animals and insects designed to stimulate others of the same species to induce a certain behavior.
  1. Androstenol

    • Androstenol, discovered in the late 1970s by Dr. George Dodd, is a human pheromone that induces social interaction among members of the opposite sex.

    Androstenone

    • Androstenone is a pheromone that makes men seem dominant, aggressive and competitive, but it doesn't encourage the male to stick to one female.

    Androsterone

    • Androsterone is found in male urine. This pheromone gives women a sense that the male is able to protect her, provide for her and sends a message that he will be a good father.

    Androstadienone or Androstadienol

    • Androstadienone or androstadienol is found in male sweat. It's detected by females through smell. A females want to be close and cuddle with a male that exhibits this pheromone.

    Estratetraenol

    • Estratetraenol, found in female sweat, attracts men to women as the preceding pheromone attracts women to men.

    Bombykol

    • Bombykol is the first pheromone discovered in 1953; it is secreted during female ovulation and sends signals to men from long distances, even at very low concentrations.
