Orgalutran, also known as Ganirelix, is a drug used to treat women suffering from infertility. Use of Orgalutran may lead to the a variety of mild to severe side effects based on the particular individual.-

Orgalutran is a prescription fertility drug that is classified by Drugs.com as a "gonadotropin-releasing hormone antagonist". It works specifically by preventing the early release of reproductive hormones. In doing so, ovulation becomes more regular and less hypersensitive. Orgalutran can be used in conjunction with other medications to increase fertility.
Common Side Effects

There are few common side effects, but they do include mild headache, and mild vaginal bleeding. Though not of immediate concern, these common side effects may become more bothersome or persistent. In such an event, stop using Orgalutran and contact your doctor.
Severe Side Effects

Drugs.com reports that the following severe side effects may arise in rare cases: "Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); dark urine; decreased urination; diarrhea; nausea; shortness of breath; stomach pain, bloating, or swelling; sudden weight gain; and vomiting." These side effects are serious and should be treated with swiftly. Seek immediate medical attention, and stop using Orgalutran immediately.

Orgalutran has been known to interact with a number of medications including Bravelle, Follistim, Gonal-f, HCG, Menopur, Novarel, and Ovidrel.
