How to Take Down a Trampoline

A trampoline is great fun and exercise for you and your children. To keep your trampoline in the best possible condition, you must take proper care of it. Putting your trampoline away will save you from having to repair unnecessary holes and replace rusted springs on a trampoline left exposed to the elements. Keep an eye out for button locks securing the top bars and leg bars.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the spring's protective padding from the metal bars by undoing the ties on the pads.

    • 2

Remove the springs from the trampoline mat. Standing at the edge of the trampoline, pull the spring away from the metal bars and release the mat from the spring. Unhook the spring from the metal bar and place in a bucket or reinforced bag for storage. Uphook all the springs around the trampoline.

    • 3

Pull the top bars apart. Some trampolines will have button locks on the bars, while others will just pull apart. If your trampoline has button locks, depress the button and pull the bars apart at the same time. Continue this step until the trampoline bars are separated but still attached to the leg bars.

Separate the leg bars and top bars, using the same method. If your trampoline has button locks on the top bars, you will also find them on the leg bars.
