Exposed to an STD means that there was a potential for someone to contract a sexually transmitted disease (STD). This could occur during any type of sexual activity, including intercourse, oral sex, or anal sex. Exposure to an STD does not necessarily mean that a person will contract the disease; however, it is important to seek testing and treatment as soon as possible.
