How to Use Multiple Roach Gels

Cockroaches have infested human dwelling areas since ancient times. Since then, more and more effective methods for removing the creatures have been devised, including roach gels. There are multiple kinds of roach gel available, namely those that are made chiefly of hydramethylon and those that are made of fipronil. Which roach gel you use in a particular area will depend on the nature of the roach problem that you wish to remove in that area. Roach gel will remain active for up to six months after it is applied.

Instructions

    • 1

Use a roach gel made of fipronil if you wish to quickly eliminate isolated roaches. Fipronil will kill rapidly, but can kill only the roach that feeds on it.

    • 2

Use a roach gel made of hydramethylon to kill large infestations of roaches. This chemical kills more slowly, but can kill more roaches because the roach that feeds on it can go back and share it with other roaches in the nest.

    • 3

Locate the area where the roaches frequently are lounging. Examples of these are very thin spaces between doors and tables

    • 4

Prepare your chosen roach gel and read its package instructions. Take note of the necessary precautions.

    • 5

Apply the roach gel on the selected areas. Fill in the spaces so that when the roaches come back, they will come in contact with the gel.
