* Entering data into the computer.
* Taking calls from customers and helping them with computer-related issues. The operator could also be required to connect the customers with a third party to resolve the customer's problem.
* Maintaining computer data, disks, files and related material and storing them in an orderly manner.
* Maintaining client databases, retrieving and segregating data and sending it to relevant parties.
* Troubleshooting in case of emergencies.
* Keeping a record of the computer use of others for either supervision or security reasons, and setting computer controls accordingly.
* Keeping track of computer equipment orders and inventory.
