New Invention Ideas for Electronic Circuits

Our modern society is wholly dependent on the electronic circuits. Computers, cell phones, the modern day transport systems and even the Internet use the electronic circuits! Now, more and more invention ideas are coming up in this field.
  1. NanoLab

    • A NanoLab is a miniature device which can identify several disease proteins without the help of doctors, lab technicians or any technical equipment. It was invented by Richard Gaster and Drew Hall, who are doctoral students at Stanford. This might change the way diagnosis of diseases are done. The inventors believe that this device can possibly take healthcare into the hands of individuals.

      The NanoLab looks like a small book and consists of an electronic circuit board and a small well big enough to hold a few drops of blood.

      The tester needs to add a few drops of blood, saliva or urine to the well. After adding of the biological data, the device is started. In about 15 minutes, tiny green, orange and red bulbs start illuminating. This would indicate which disease proteins have been determined and at what level.

    Wearable Electronic System

    • A wearable electronic system provides a system which integrates a battery power supply, human body electrodes, biological sensors, electronic circuits and control software into a single assembly. Basically, it allows biological sensors from various manufacturers to be inserted into the system.

      During the 1960 NASA mission, a belt consisting of several electronic processing units was attached around the waist of the astronaut to measure ECG (electrocardiogram) signals. To get accurate measure, 10 separate wires might be required to be connected to the body. The current design of the wearable electronic system proposes design of commercially available off-the-shelf electrodes that may be connected or disconnected to the body using a standard connector.

    Flexible Circuit

    • A flexible circuit is a method for manufacturing a stretchable electronic device. It is built on substance such as plastic. This makes the system thinner, lighter and foldable. It can be used in all applications where the use of a rigid circuit board is difficult. This electronic device consists of at least one electrically conducive channel connected to at least two electrical components. The electrical channel would be made of a flexible substance in a predetermined geometric shape.

    EMC Protection Circuit

    • An EMC protection circuit is a device which protects the electronic circuits used in harsh environments. This system can handle negative overvoltage pulses without affecting the functionality of the electronic circuit. It is typically used in an automotive environment.
