How to Prepare for a Joint Commission Audit

The Joint Commission provides accreditation and certification to health care organizations across the U.S. Its goal is to provide high-quality, safe patient care. If an organization achieves accreditation status, this means that it has high standards for patient care and safety. For an organization to obtain accreditation, it must be compliant with more than 100 standards set forth by the Joint Commission. The commission performs annual, unannounced on-site surveys to measure this compliance. The best way to pass an audit is to prepare.
