Side Effects of Methyl 1 Testosterone

Methyl 1 testosterone is a supplement that is used by athletes and weightlifters to increase energy and strength levels, expedite after-workout recovery and accelerate the development of lean muscle mass. Although it can occasionally be found in other countries, it has been banned from use in the United States since 2004 by the FDA (Food And Drug Administration). This is because of several severe side effects, including liver damage, prostate damage, acne and baldness. Distribution, possession and use of methyl 1 testosterone is illegal. Those who choose to use this product are risking the development of severe health problems, expensive fines and imprisonment.
  1. Baldness

    • Methyl 1 testosterone is known to cause baldness. This is because it accelerates the development of testosterone to an unsafe level. If too much testosterone is present in the body for a long period of time, baldness can result. Avoid this side effect by not using methyl 1 testosterone, and have your testosterone levels checked by a physician before using any product that increases testosterone in the body.

    Acne

    • Use of methyl 1 testosterone is known to cause severe acne. This is because it raises the the testosterone levels in the body to an unsafe level. This causes the glands of the body to produce more oil than normal, which in turn clogs pores on the skin, causing acne to develop. Avoid acne by bathing regularly when using any product that increases testosterone levels. For small acne outbreaks, there are many effective over-the-counter treatments. In cases of severe acne, contact your physician for treatment.

    Prostate issues

    • Methyl 1 testosterone use is known to cause development or worsening of prostate issues. High levels of testosterone in the body can cause the prostate to enlarge. This condition can be painful, and may be accompanied by difficult urination. Before using any product that boosts testosterone levels, make sure to have your testosterone levels checked and a prostate exam conducted. Men over the age of 30 are most susceptible to the development of prostate issues.

    Behavioral changes

    • Behavioral issues can develop from the use of methyl 1 testosterone. Increased anxiety, aggression, depression and other mental status changes can occur. If any of these issues develop while using a product that raises testosterone levels, discontinue use and contact your physician as soon as possible. Those with preexisting mental conditions should use products that raise testosterone levels only if directed to do so by a physician.

    Liver problems

    • Methyl 1 testosterone is known to greatly increase the chance of developing liver problems. High levels of testosterone in the body cause the liver to work harder as it is the principal organ responsible for removing excess testosterone from the body. If this continues for a long enough period of time, liver damage can result, and in severe cases, liver failure can occur. Those with preexisting health conditions affecting the liver should avoid using products that increase testosterone levels in the body.
