Instructions

    • 1

Sit down and try to calculate how many drinks you've had that night. A drink is defined as a shot (solo or within a mixed drink) or a glass of beer or wine.

    • 2

Drink a glass of water for each drink you had. This may take a while, and you don't necessarily want to gulp it all down. Just sip it consistently. If you can't drink it all, get as close as you can.

    • 3

While drinking your water, eat a hamburger. The simple protein and carbs of the burger will help absorb the alcohol and offset a bit of the acidity of the alcohol. The grease will also help settle it down.

    • 4

Take a long, hot shower or a bath. This will help keep your muscles relaxed and also get rid of any alcohol-related smell.

    • 5

Take two Advil right before you go to bed. This will reduce your chances of developing a headache and soreness the next day.

    • 6

Sleep for at least eight hours.
