Instructions

    • 1

Take stock of your life. Write down the events, thoughts and situations that are making your life stressful. If you don't know what's stressing you then you can't fix the problem.

    • 2

Change the things you can. After you make the list of what is causing you stress then make the necessary changes to rid yourself of those obstacles. It may mean a complete overhaul of your life or how you approach certain situations, but if it means you can live free of stress then it's well worth it.

    • 3

Accept those things you can't change. There will be situations that you won't be able to change simply because you have no control of them. Instead of stressing about these situations learn to accept them until you're in a position to do something about them.

    • 4

Think positively. How you think about life, where and who you are, drastically affects how you see the world and your stress level. If you only see the negative side of things then that will increase the stress you're experiencing and make it difficult to make the necessary changes to decrease your stress level.

    • 5

Schedule quiet time. It's hard to make changes or relax if you're constantly on the go. Free up 30 minutes each day to sit and relax. Use the time to unwind and let the troubles of the day wash over and away from you.

    • 6

Do something fun. Often in life people get caught up in what they have to do or what they need to do and rarely have the chance to do what they want to do. Take some time and do something that you find fun and exciting to live a stress free life.
