How to Keep RYO Tobacco Moist
RYO tobacco, better known as "roll your own," is loose-leaf tobacco that has not been rolled yet. Most RYO tobacco brands come in a pre-sealed package. When the package is opened, the tobacco tends to dry out if not stored properly. Once the tobacco dries out, it loses flavor. The best way to preserve moisture and taste is to store the tobacco in an airtight container with apple peels or wet cotton balls.Things You'll Need
- Airtight container
- Fresh apples
- Sharp knife

Take the lid off the airtight container and clean out the container if necessary.

Peel a couple of fresh apples with a sharp knife. Pour the RYO tobacco out of the bag and into the airtight container.

Place the fresh apple peels all around the tobacco. Mix the apple peels into the tobacco with your hands to space the apple peels evenly throughout the tobacco.

Put the lid back onto the container and place the container into the freezer.
