Why do people get tb by sharing cigarettes?

Sharing cigarettes does not transmit Tuberculosis(TB). Tuberculosis is spread through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or speaks. It can also be spread through direct contact with infectious material, such as sputum or mucus.
