Difference Between Skoal Bandits & Pouches
Smokeless tobacco products ("dip" or "chew") have been popular for years, and Skoal, part of U.S. Smokeless Tobacco, was one of the original brands in the modern market. Although Skoal originally produced an exclusively "loose" tobacco product, they have more recently provided pouch-style products -- Skoal Pouches and Skoal Bandits -- that are less messy and easier to use.-
Dip Size
-
Although Skoal Pouches and Bandits are in pouches, the dip size varies in the two products. Skoal Bandits have one gram of tobacco, which is less than the larger Pouch product. The Bandit was marketed for those users who enjoy the convenience of the pouch but like smaller dip sizes.
Flavors
-
Skoal Bandits only come in two flavors: mint and wintergreen. The larger Pouches are available in mint and wintergreen, but also a variety of novelty flavors, including apple, peach, vanilla, berry and citrus.
History
-
Both the Skoal Pouches and Bandits were introduced in 1983 in the original wintergreen flavor. Other flavors have been added over the years.
