How to Clean An Electronic Cigarette
Electronic cigarettes are an alternative to smoking tobacco, not necessarily an aid to stop smoking. They look similar to standard cigarettes, but they contain cartridges that carry liquid nicotine. When a user puffs on an electronic cigarette, a battery is activated that heats the nicotine into vapor. The user then inhales this vapor. However, according to CNN.com, because this product is relatively new, there isn't adequate research to declare that it's safe to inhale pure nicotine.Things You'll Need

1
Use a lint-free cloth to clean around the area that connects your battery to your atomizer. Do not use water or cleaning fluids of any kind. Be sure that there are no particles from the cloth left behind, as they may be accidentally introduced to the heating-coil housing.

2
Drain any liquid buildup that may have seeped from the cartridge to the atomizer. There are three ways to do this. The first is to remove the mouthpiece, leaving the battery attached. Blow air gently into the battery at the LED end to activate the battery. This will cause any liquid to be vaporized, because it will heat the atomizer.

3
Drain any excess liquid by first removing the battery and mouthpiece. Then blow air into the hole where the battery connects to the atomizer. This will help clear liquid away from the heating coil. Tap the atomizer very lightly onto a cloth after every third breath. Keep doing this until you do not hear any gurgling sounds. Then stand up the atomizer on a clean cloth to drain any additional liquid.

4
Drain the liquid overnight by disassembling the unit. Place the atomizer on a clean cloth and leave it there to drain. Be sure the battery connection side is facing up.
