Water Jetting & Vertical Tube Cleaning & Safety
Water jetting is a process by which highly pressurized water is used to clean surfaces and equipment, including piping and tubing. Some methods are more conducive to vertical tube cleaning than others.-
Considerations
-
When considering how to approach a water jetting job, several factors must be taken into account. These include the size of the job, the budget and time available, deposit adhesion and hardness, and horizontal and vertical orientations.
Vertical Tubes
-
Vertical tubes are best cleaned using a powered dual-hose reel with self-rotating nozzles. Often cleaning vertical tubes requires the water jetter to be operated in a confined space, and these kinds of water jetters are easily operated in such circumstances.
Safety
-
Water jetters often come with an array of safety features. These include safety shutdown systems, personal safety gear (such as goggles) and protective conspicuity tape that surrounds the frame of the water jetter.
