Although the United States has not produced legislation or standards regarding the safe use of display screen equipment, the United Kingdom has produced piece of legislation titled the Health and Safety (Display Screen Equipment) Regulations 1992, which outlines basic requirements for display screen equipment safety.
Laptops
-
People's laptop use creates additional risks, as laptops are designed for short-term use. However, many people use laptops as their only workstation and thus may be vulnerable to these risks.
