A.A. offers incentives, mentors and other tools to help participants acquire and maintain sobriety.

    Outpatient Treatment

    • Outpatient treatment offers professional help while allowing the patient to live at home. This type of treatment generally focuses more on the individual than the group and may require some weekends to be spent at a treatment facility for intensive treatment sessions. Outpatient treatment is usually fee based, but insurance coverage may help defray the cost.

    Inpatient Treatment

    • Inpatient treatment helps those with severe addictions; it requires the individual to reside full time at a treatment center to detoxify the body and acquire new tools and habits for coping with addiction. Group therapy and individual treatment are typically incorporated in a closely monitored setting. This is often the most expensive option.
