ANSI Rules on Safety Vests

The American National Standards Institute has laid down certain regulations which govern the manufacture and features of safety vests. High Visibility

Velcro and Zippers

• Velcro and zippers help the safety jackets to be slipped on and removed quickly and more easily. The absence of loops and strings lessens the chances of getting entangled or choked.

Meshes

• Safety vests also can come with holes or meshes so that the vests do not become waterlogged and cause the clothing to become heavy and hinder movements in rainy weather or wet environments. The meshes permit faster drying times and lighten the weight of the safety vest.
