How to Put on Safety Goggles Properly
Protecting your eyes in a work or study environment that involves chemicals or the possibility of flying objects is a prudent practice. Because an eye injury could be devastatingly permanent, avoid mishaps by wearing eye goggles. Eye goggles deliver more extensive protection than safety glasses because they seal against your face, keeping potentially harmful objects and materials from contacting your eyes. Put on safety goggles properly to ensure an adequate seal and secure protection.Instructions

1
Select eye goggles according to how you plan to use them. If necessary, choose eye goggles with a design that fits over glasses. If you need prescription lenses in your goggles, you must supply your eye prescription upon ordering the goggles to have the proper prescription embedded in the lenses. If you desire tinted goggle lenses, select the tinting you desire. Choose goggles with ventilation holes either at the sides or on top to help prevent the goggles from fogging up as you wear them. Do not use eye goggles with ventilation holes if you wear goggles to protect your eyes from vapors and dust.

2
Place the lenses of the goggles over your eyes and adjust them slightly so they seal tightly around your eyes. Generally, the goggles will cover your eyes above your eyebrows, over the bridge of your nose and down to your cheekbones.
-
3
Push the eye goggle lenses against your face to seal them tightly.
-
4
Pull the elastic strap of the eye goggles around the top of your head and position it at the back and top of your head.
-
5
Tighten the elastic strap so it holds the eye goggle lenses tightly around your eyes, yet not so tightly that the goggles feel uncomfortable or painful.
-
6
Test the seal and the tightness of the goggles by moving the goggles slightly on your face. Move your head around up and down and side to side. The goggles should stay in place securely and comfortably as you move.
