How to Reduce Eye Strain From Fluorescent Lights
Oftentimes, in schools, public buildings and offices, fluorescent lighting cannot be avoided, which can cause problems for those with light-sensitive eyes. Chronic headaches, pain and blurred vision are a few of the symptoms associated with eyestrain caused by fluorescent lighting. Fortunately, there are home remedies and products specifically designed to help reduce eyestrain.Instructions

1
Be aware of your overall body state, as eyestrain can often result from fatigue or excessive tension. Find ways to relax such as meditation or breathing exercises, and get plenty of sleep.
-
2
Take frequent rest periods when you are exposed to fluorescent lighting for long periods of time. Focus your eyes into the far distance to relax them if you have been working on a computer screen under fluorescent lights. Occasionally close your eyes and take several deep breaths, and find a place to take your breaks where there is no fluorescent lighting.

4
Suggest that the office, school or building purchase fluorescent light covers or panels that can diffuse the light and make things a little more bearable. (See Resources)
