A brain biopsy is a surgical procedure in which doctors take a small piece of tissue for abnormal tissue from the brain for examination. Brain biopsies can be used to diagnose a variety of conditions, including tumors, infections, and neurodegenerative diseases, and is used to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning purposes.
