Could a person with cubital tunnel syndrone stay out of work?
- Making adjustments to their workstation to reduce compression of the ulnar nerve, such as using a wrist support or elbow rest.
- Taking frequent breaks to stretch and relax the elbow.
- Avoiding repetitive motions or positions that aggravate symptoms.
- Using ice or heat packs to reduce pain and inflammation.
- Performing exercises to strengthen the muscles around the elbow.
- Wearing a hand brace to help support the wrist and reduce compression of the ulnar nerve.
If these measures do not relieve the symptoms of cubital tunnel syndrome, the person may need to take a leave of absence from work or consider a change of occupation.
