What Is a Quick Lift?
QuickLift is the brand name for a cosmetic surgical procedure that is marketed as being minimally invasive. The "mini-surgery" claims to tighten the skin of the lower face and neck, giving the patient a more youthful appearance without the discomfort or recovery time of traditional plastic surgery.-
Development
-
Instituted by cosmetic surgeon Dr. Dominic Brandy, the QuickLift procedure is offered at skin care centers across the United States. Brandy, who practices at The Skin Center Medical Spa in Pittsburgh, trains plastic surgeons in the technique.
Procedure
-
Excess skin is removed from the lower face and neck area, and the remaining skin is tightened. The procedure is generally performed with local anesthesia, and the incision is hidden in the sideburn area of the face, where it can be concealed with the patient's hair.
Considerations
-
Prospective patients are encouraged to research the surgeon's background and to request proof of QuickLift certification before proceeding with the surgery.
