Immediately After LASIK Surgery:- Your eyes may feel gritty or dry, and your vision may be blurry or hazy.
- Your surgeon will provide you with protective shields or goggles to wear over your eyes.
- You may experience some discomfort or pain, which can be managed with over-the-counter pain relievers.
First 24 Hours:
- You will need to rest and avoid strenuous activities.
- You should avoid touching or rubbing your eyes.
- You will use medicated eye drops as prescribed by your surgeon.
- You will need to wear the protective shields or goggles at all times, except when using medicated eye drops.
1-3 Days After Surgery:
- You may experience some swelling around your eyes.
- Your vision may continue to fluctuate.
- You should continue to rest and avoid strenuous activities.
- You will continue to use medicated eye drops as prescribed by your surgeon.
- You may be able to remove your protective shields or goggles during the day, but you will still need to wear them at night.
1-2 Weeks After Surgery:
- Your vision should gradually improve and stabilize.
- You should be able to resume most of your normal activities, but you should still avoid strenuous activities that could put stress on your eyes.
- You will continue to use medicated eye drops as prescribed by your surgeon.
1-3 Months After Surgery:
- Your vision should be fully stabilized by this point.
- You should be able to enjoy all of your normal activities without any restrictions.
- You will no longer need to use medicated eye drops unless otherwise instructed by your surgeon.
It is important to note that everyone heals differently, so your recovery period may vary slightly from the above timeline. Be sure to follow your surgeon's instructions carefully to ensure the best possible outcome.
