Lifestyle Lift Alternatives

The Lifestyle Lift is a procedure that is designed for facial firming and is performed under local anesthesia. The time it takes for recovery generally take one week, but may take longer due to extenuating circumstances. Some patients may prefer to be given general anesthesia, pay lower costs or may not be able to find a doctor in their area to perform this procedure. There are several Lifestyle Lift Alternatives that also provide facial firming.
  1. Minimal Access Cranial Suspension (MACS)

    • The Minimal Access Cranial Suspension (MACS) lift creates a short incision in front of the ear and elevates the sagging facial features by suspending them in a vertical direction from above. The skin is less raised during this procedure which results in less risk of nerve damage and bleeding.

    S-Lift

    • The S-Lift is also called the small facelift and is designed to provide patients with a facelift to the lower third of the patient's cheeks and face. This technique uses ultrasonic liposculpting that is laser-assisted; this tightens the skin and removes excess fat from the chin, cheeks and neck. An S-shaped incision is made in front of the ear to perform this procedure. This procedure is ideal for persons between the ages of 30 and 50 years old with mild to moderate laxity in the facial and neck region and who are in good health. Most patients can expect to resume their normal activities in four to five days.

    Platysma SMAS Plication (PSP)

    • The Platysma SMAS Plication (PSP) facelift is a procedure in which the goal is to balance the aesthetic outcome and recovery time with procedural invasiveness. According to the Journal of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (JPRAS), this procedure has been found to give reproducible results and high satisfaction. This technique is also acquired easily by aesthetic surgeons with less experience.

    Minimal Incision Facelift

    • Compared to a standard facelift, the minimal incision face lift provides patients with the benefit of returning to work sooner based on faster healing, less swelling, less risk and less tissue disturbances. Years later, patients can safely return to the doctor for touch-ups or can opt to pursue a full facelift without interference. This procedure is ideal for patients who are younger or more active and wish to achieve refreshing results without the intensive surgery that a full facelift requires.
