How do you put on a bra after shoulder surgery?
1. Start by lying down on your back. This will help to reduce any pain or discomfort you may experience while putting on your bra.
2. Place the bra on your lap, with the cups facing up. Make sure the straps are adjusted to the longest length.
3. Reach over and gently cup one of your breasts in your hand. Bring your breast up to the corresponding cup of the bra.
4. With your other hand, reach up and attach the bra strap to the hook on the same side.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the other breast.
6. Once both breasts are in the bra, sit up and adjust the straps as needed. Make sure the bra is snug, but not too tight.
7. Hook the front of the bra closed.
8. Stand up and check to make sure the bra is comfortable and stays in place.
9. If you are experiencing any pain or discomfort, adjust the bra as needed or talk to your doctor.
Additional tips:
• Choose a bra that is made from soft, breathable fabric. This will help reduce any irritation or discomfort.
• If you have any difficulty putting on your bra, ask for help from a family member, friend, or caregiver.
• It is important to wear a bra after shoulder surgery to help support your breasts and prevent them from becoming engorged or sagging.
