Can a woman see her periods after partially hysterectomy?

A partial hysterectomy involves the surgical removal of part of the uterus (womb), while leaving the cervix and one or both ovaries intact. Therefore, it is unlikely for a woman to experience menstruation after this procedure. Menstruation occurs as a result of the shedding of the endometrium (inner lining of the uterus) in response to hormonal changes during the menstrual cycle. Since the uterus is partially removed during a partial hysterectomy, the endometrium is no longer present, hence there is no tissue to be shed, leading to the absence of menstruation.
