Will there an incision when you have a laparoscopy?
Yes, there will typically be one or more small incisions made during a laparoscopy. These incisions are usually less than half an inch long and are made in the abdomen. The surgeon will insert a laparoscope, which is a thin tube with a camera on the end, through one of these incisions. The other incisions may be used to insert other instruments that the surgeon needs to perform the procedure. After the procedure is complete, the incisions will be closed with stitches or surgical tape.
