What are eyebrows made of?
Eyebrows are made of hair, just like the hair on your head. The hair follicles that make up eyebrows are located in the dermis, the middle layer of the skin. These follicles are responsible for producing the keratin that makes up hair fibres. Eyebrow hair is typically shorter and finer than head hair, and the follicles tend to be more widely spaced. The shape and size of eyebrows can vary greatly from person to person, and are influenced by both genetics and environmental factors such as grooming habits and sun exposure.
