How to Prevent Ingrowth After LASIK
Epithelial ingrowth at the end of a successful LASIK treatment may not be a sign of a complication, but of healing. LASIK procedures involve using laser beams for the correction of vision disorders like myopia, hypermetropia and cataracts. The epithelial ingrowth results from the continued growth of a few live epithelial cells under the replaced corneal flap. Though not immediately evident after LASIK surgery, the ingrowths can be experienced after a few weeks after the surgery was performed. Some of the epithelial ingrowths resolve on their own, while some of them that come with non-resolvable discomfort like blurry vision have to be taken care of.Instructions
