Skin incisions for modified radical mastectomy?

The modified radical mastectomy involves the removal of the entire breast, axillary lymph nodes, and some of the underlying chest muscles. The skin incision for this procedure is typically an elliptical incision made around the breast, extending from the middle of the sternum to the back. This incision may also be extended towards the armpit in some cases. The nipple-areola complex may be preserved in a modified radical mastectomy if there is no evidence of cancer in that area.
