Why is the heart double pump?
The statement isn't completely accurate; the heart has four chambers. The human heart is more accurately described as a dual circulatory system. The right atrial ventricle pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs for oxygenation, while the left atrial ventricle pumps oxygenated blood to the rest of the body. This separation allows for a more efficient and effective circulation of blood throughout the circulatory system.
