What are the pumping chambers of he heart?
The pumping chambers of the heart are the ventricles. The heart has four chambers in total: two atria (singular: atrium) and two ventricles. The atria are the upper chambers of the heart that receive blood, while the ventricles are the lower chambers of the heart that pump blood out to the body. The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood from the body and the right ventricle pumps it to the lungs. The left atrium receives oxygenated blood from the lungs and the left ventricle pumps it out to the body.
