What are the locations and names of all heart valves?

There are four heart valves, named and located as follows:

Tricuspid valve: Located between the right atrium and the right ventricle. It has three valve cusps, hence the name tricuspid.

Pulmonary valve: Situated between the right ventricle and the pulmonary artery. It consists of three semilunar cusps that resemble half-moons in shape.

Mitral valve (or bicuspid valve): Positioned between the left atrium and the left ventricle. It has two cusps, thus also known as the bicuspid valve.

Aortic valve: Located between the left ventricle and the ascending aorta. Like the pulmonary valve, it comprises three semilunar cusps.

These valves play crucial roles in ensuring the proper flow of blood through the chambers and vessels of the heart, preventing backward leakage and maintaining the cardiac cycle's normal functioning.
