How do you terminate the patient after doing maneuver?
After completing the Heimlich maneuver and the foreign object is expelled:
1. Assess the patient's condition. Ensure they are breathing and have a pulse. If the patient is unconscious or unresponsive, call for emergency medical assistance immediately.
2. Encourage the patient to cough and breathe normally. This will help to clear any remaining particles from their airway.
3. Stay with the patient until they are feeling well. Provide reassurance and support.
4. Follow up with the patient. Encourage them to see a doctor to rule out any injuries or complications from the choking incident.
