How to Cut to Fit an Ostomy Pouch

Ostomy pouches are external devices attached to the abdomen to collect draining stool. Doctors form a stoma which is the place where stool will enter into the drainage pouch. Devices can be cut to give an optimum fit using a pair of scissors. Drainage devices need to be changed about every five to seven days or as directed by your doctor.
