Finding a good and affordable plastic surgeon

Sit down and calculate your budget. This is an indispensable first step in the entire process. If you already have a lot of money saved, then good for you as you won't have to worry about taking out a loan or payments etc.
But even the most inexpensive cosmetic surgery procedure these days starts at around $1,000, and almost all plastic surgeons require at least some deposit so you will need to have saved at least a few hundred dollars before you start making appointments with doctors to discuss procedures, etc.
Once you have your deposit in hand, and have calculated how much of a monthly payment you can afford (most financial experts suggest no more than 7-10% of your net income), then you are ready to move on to some serious research about cosmetic surgery.

2
Research the cosmetic/plastic surgery procedure you are interested in. Review all of the options out there for the area you are interested in improving. There's a lot of information available on the Internet, and there are a large number of Web-based resources on cosmetic surgery procedures. If you are interested in a "nose job", for example, enter "nose job" into the search tab and you will get literally hundred of references to various rhinoplasty procedures, and you can educate yourself and learn about your options from there.

Price out the procedures you are interested in. There is only so far you can take this kind of research online or even by telephone, as doctor's offices are reluctant to discuss final prices until after they have met with you, checked your insurance, credit history, etc. But you can usually at least get them to give you a range so you can make rough comparisons. Be sure to consider the total costs of all procedures (i.e., anesthesia, recovery room, etc)

Select the right plastic surgeon. This could mean a few trips for initial appointments and exams with several plastic surgeons until you find the right one, but it is well worth the effort to protect your health and appearance. There are a few essential questions to ask:
1. Does the surgeon have privileges to operate at a local hospital?
2. Is he or she certified to perform this particular procedure?
3. How many of this type of procedures has he or she performed before?
