How to Remove Fibrin Glue from Lips
Fibrin glue is a type of surgical glue that is used on the sensitive and vulnerable areas of the body such as the eyes, inside the mouth and around the rectal area. Fibrin glue is used instead of stitches because it contains ingredients that promote healing and they are less uncomfortable than stitches. When you have surgery around the mouth and the glue sticks to your lips, it is sometimes difficult and painful to scrape it off with your fingernails, so an alternative method must be sought.Things You'll Need

1
Wet the end of one cotton swab with a non-toxic body adhesive remover. You must use a non-toxic body adhesive remover, such as an eyelash adhesive remover, to ensure that you will not be harmed if a small amount is accidentally swallowed.
-
2
Rub the lips gently until all of the glue is removed. You may have to use more than one cotton swab to get the job done, and the adhesive remover will not taste well at all. Do your best to not swallow the adhesive remover, and try not to get any inside of your mouth.
-
3
Rinse your mouth and lips with clean water and spit it out. Rub your lips with your fingertips to ensure that all of the glue is gone and it will not stick your lips together again.
-
4
Swish vodka or rum inside your mouth if you are of legal drinking age to kill any germs, bacteria, or substances that may not belong inside your body. Spit out the liquor. Vodka is the best option to use because of its high alcohol content.
